Fremantle captain Kara Donnellan and forward Ashlee Atkins have accepted reprimands handed down by the NAB AFL Women’s Match Review Officer for separate incidents during Freo’s five-point win against Melbourne on Sunday at Fremantle Oval.
Donnellan was cited for striking Aleisha Newman in the first quarter, which was classified as careless, low impact and high contact, which carries a one-week suspension down to a reprimand with an early plea.
Atkins was cited for rough conduct with Ashleigh Guest in the fourth quarter, which was classified as careless, low impact and high contact, which carries a one-week suspension down to a reprimand with an early plea.
Due to their early guilty pleas, the pair are still available for Freo’s round four clash with ladder leaders Brisbane on Saturday 24 February at South Pine Sports Complex.
