Fremantle’s Family Fun Day at Optus Stadium on 10 February is shaping up as the perfect opportunity for Freo fans to see the venue it all its glory.
The day offers Fremantle’s 2018 AFLW home opener against Collingwood, a men’s training session, signing sessions from both the men’s and women’s teams, inflatables, face painting and other activations.
It’s a perfect opportunity for those who have missed out on tickets to this Sunday’s open day, which has allocated more than 100,000 tickets for the scheduled tours throughout the day.
Optus Stadium CEO Mike McKenna has warned the general public that the open day will be “jam packed”, urging attendees to be patient.
Tickets have even resurfaced for sale online.
“If you don’t have a ticket, [it’s] probably best to wait for another occasion,” McKenna said.
Instead, Freo fans can snap up their tickets to the Family Fun Day for just $2 through Ticketmaster, with no transaction fees on purchase.
The ticket price includes public transport and there is a ticket limit of 10 per purchase.
With more than 20,000 tickets already sold, the game is expected to eclipse the largest attendance for a women’s football game of 24,500 at last year’s season opener between Carlton and Collingwood at Princes Park.
Full proceeds from ticket sales will be split evenly and donated to the Starlight Children's Foundation and the Fremantle Dockers Foundation.
