Luke Ryan and Brennan Cox are among four inclusions for Fremantle’s clash with GWS on Saturday at Spotless Stadium, with the pair returning after their omission in round 18 for not meeting team standards.
Utility Cam Sutcliffe has been rewarded for his recent WAFL form and will play his first game since the bye, while Brady Grey comes in after a fortnight out of the senior side.
Held over as an emergency for Freo’s round 18 clash with Hawthorn, Sutcliffe is coming off one of his strongest appearances at WAFL level, racking up 31 disposals and 10 tackles for Peel against East Perth a fortnight ago.
Ryan, Cox and Grey all featured in Peel’s loss to Subiaco in round 18, with Ryan continuing his AFL form with 20 disposals, nine marks and six tackles at half-back.
Ryan is the most likely replacement for Lee Spurr, who comes out of the side with a calf injury.
Grey comes is as a possible replacement for the injured Michael Walters, who has juggled time as a small forward and in the midfield in 2017.
After making their debut earlier in the season, Ryan Nyhuis and Josh Deluca are Freo’s remaining omissions.
Meanwhile, the Giants have named four inclusions, including former Freo Docker Matt de Boer - alongside Jeremy Cameron, Stephen Conigilo and Dawson Simpson.
Shane Mumford (ankle) is the biggest omission for the Giants, alongside Steve Johnson (knee), Toby Greene (suspended) and Tendai Mzungu (omitted).
