Fremantle has made four changes to its squad to take on Gold Coast on Saturday 13 June at Metricon Stadium.

With Michael Johnson already ruled out with a serious hamstring injury for 8-10 weeks, young defender Alex Pearce has been called in for his third game of the season.

Pearce primed to play

Fellow defender Lee Spurr, who missed last Friday’s 27-point loss to Richmond with a shin injury, will join Pearce as an inclusion.

Spurr comes into the squad for Paul Duffield, who has been omitted.

Jack Hannath is in line to play his first game of 2015 to replace the omitted Zac Clarke, while Chris Mayne will miss out through illness.

Match preview: Fremantle v Gold Coast

Mayne’s replacement will be Tendai Mzungu, whose consistent performances for Peel Thunder have been rewarded with a spot in the 22-man squad.

Duffield, Jon Griffin and Matt de Boer will be the emergencies and all three have travelled.
